Arrowleaf Clover
Arrowleaf Clover is a productive annual that has good growth in late spring. It is usually grown in pastures but can also be cut for hay. Arrowleaf clover requires well drained soil.
Crimson Clover Crimson Clover: Is a dependable annual clover that has larger seed. Crimson clover makes good growth during cool weather and is early maturing. It is often used as a winter cover and/or green manure crop. This clover should be planted on well drained soils.
Mihi Persian Clover (New)
A winter annual clover with excellent mid spring to summer growing activity. Very palatalbe even the large stems are sweet and quite soft. Will grow on lower ph soils than some other legumes and can stand some standing water. It is high in protein and even when it becomes very mature protein can still be in the high teens. Therefore, Mihi makes an excellent forage for stockpiling.
Red Clover
Red clover has good seedling vigor and has a larger seed than white clover. In many areas red clover plants can live for two years but in the lower Southern USA it often acts like an annual. It is often grazed but is suited for hay conditions.Red clover requires good soil moisture but is not as tolerant of wet conditions as white clover.
Subterranean Clover
Subterranean Clover: Is a dense, low-growing annual suited to areas having mild winters. It makes most of its growth in spring. Sub clover is less productive than arrow leaf or crimson clover. Sub clover is tolerant of low fertility and shade than most clovers and is adapted to medium and heavy soils with good moisture-holding capacity.
White Clover White clover is a popular legume grown for forage and wildlife feed and its soil improving nitrogen fixation, a perennial plant that is widely grown in the USA.In some conditions plants often live for several years. Ladino white clover types are usually the most productive. Intermediate white clover types are more persistent, but usually are less productive. White clover is a good choice for some pasture because of its tolerance for close grazing but is less suited for haying. White clover prefers soils with good moisture holding ability.
